WooHoo...I did it. It's weird but I really am happy and feel accomplished. Shit, it's only been 38 days sober but I don't care...one day at a time. I got a sweet medallion and a couple marbles for graduation, gotta love marbles.

Best part, I get to ride the newly finished fixie into work tomorrow! It's my first road bike, a Marinoni, repainted by a friend, and done up with most likely too nice of parts. But the money I am saving by not drinking affords me much more money for tangible type items. I love consumerism!
One part of treatment they make us figure out how much our addiction cost us. Wow, it adds up quick. We estimated about 29K in booze over the years and a total around 125K! That's with the cost of treatment, a couple of surgeries, x-rays, some stitches, and bad decisions. Damn. So I bought and I-Pod touch...pretty sweet stuff.

Graduation!

Wow! Who'd a thunk I would be as good at not drinking as I was at drinking. I get to graduate a week early! I have mixed feelings about leaving, but it's inevitable...time to move on. I still have 10 weeks of aftercare 1 evening a week...so that will keep me in line! I will post more details later about this adventure. Oooh, should be good reading, right?
I am excited to be done, however, so I can start riding again. I think my hiatus, all summer, has been long enough. Time to saddle back up.

Oh yeah, I tried to upload/download (whatever the terminology) a picture of a bottle of Smirnoff...my absolute favorite, makes my mouth water. But alas, no such luck so no picture.

What the Hell

I have been inspired for some reason to try this again! I am in the process of finishing treatment. Treatment? I'm a drunk...or ex-drunk. It was time and now I thought I would give the blog thing a sober try.
