I got an email from the race director of the North Shore Winter Ultra stating the event has been canceled. Gee, thanks for the heads up.
I actually don't blame him too much. There were only about 30 registered athletes and Duluth wanted $800 for insurance. He has some other reasons too. There appears to be an impromptu ride still happening but not too sure if I will do that or not.
The search continues.
Later...time to go get the H1N1 shot.

sorry ben. you would have rocked that thing. I guess, though, it's what happens when you get into the Ultra®, Extreme® or H'ors Categorie™ events. there are so few people with the chutzpah to do it that low registration can kill it...
and I don't mean, like, yo, I'm killin' it... so they sort of killed it before you could kill it...
