Not Dead

Man...summer is a busy time. But, everyone seems to be busy so no excuse there. Just not in the blogging mood I guess. Speaking of summer it is officially here and so is the heat and humidity. I always look forward to the heat for some good, sweaty riding. That passes soon and I look forward to the fall. Never happy!
Last Monday Kyia hosted a "How To mtb" clinic for the shop. This was the third year Kyia has done this for the shop. I bought my first mountain bike in 1988. I believe I am an ok rider, but every year I pick up something new. The little light bulb goes off in my head, "oh yeah".

Here I am tackling the new "parking lot" obstacle. Brian told me to look 2 feet in front of me and relax man, just relax. I think I need to work on breathing too.

Not bored, just listening very attentively.
I have been getting a good amount of riding in. The guys from the shop and I have been getting out in the morning again. Fun times. We always end up going too hard but it's fun. I am not going to be concerned if it is "junk" training or not...I just love it.
I haven't made the last 2 Tuesday Night rides. I am planning on tomorrow. Let the sweating begin. An early apology to those behind me getting pelted with my sweat.
With the recent rain and humidity my garden has gone crazy. I have harvested lots of radishes and have lettuce that is ready to eat. I am already planning on the expansion for next year.
This weekend I have a wedding to attend and am debating on whether or not to hit up the Mt Kato MTB race on Sunday. Jen is all for it but it will entail some driving. I'll see how the week pans out. Maybe I will be convinced my others!? I am almost done with my new bike so that's a littlt incentive to ride. Hmmm.
Later.

no sweat.

that is to say, I haven't been pelted even while I spend most of my time at the back... or occasionally taking turns keeping you company once you wear josh out. I have to say, the new doo and the bicycling gear make you look pretty badass.
