No Trails For You.

Four of us, (Matt, Lance, Charlie, and I) met in St. Joe to depart on our 4 hour snowmobile trail ride. The temp was high, the sky was spitting rain, but we believed the trails would still be ok. About 10 feet into the trails we knew we were in for a "work out". The Pugs was working great, but the others were on the standard mtb's. They were cutting right through the trail, even with the psi super low. We muscled through for about a 1/4 mile and had enough. We opted for a gravel day. The Pugs is not really a great bike to ride on wet, sloppy roads. I was spraying water everywhere. Luckily I grabbed my rain jacket at the last second. My butt still got pretty wet!

Here we are navigating a steel bridge. Lance and Matt know way too many back roads.

Here I am at the top of the Alp. Something I didn't think I would ever do on the Pugs. Another 1st on the Pugs was 32 mph.

This is the type of road we saw most of the time: ice and snow covered. If this wasn't the case it was then wet and sandy.
We ended up with 3 hours 15 minutes. I had a great time. It's nice to get out with others every once in awhile. I am a fan of training by myself but on crappy days it is nice to have a others to push you along.
This weather sucks. Unless we get some snow I may call it quits and stick to the bike. This next week is going to get cold. The snowmobile trails should be like a sidewalk...I'm game.
Out.
