I overhauled the Surly LHT yesterday. Not too much damage from all the mud and grinding at CIRREM. Upon cleaning the chain I noticed a severely cracked link. Glad I was able to finish. That chain had about 150 miles on it. Oh well, now the chain has 0 miles on it.
My next scheduled race/event is May 15th, the Almanzo in Rochester. My plan for March and April are to build up my base miles with some longer rides but also I need to work in some intensity as well. It usually unfolds and works out without too much structure! When I return from Florida day light savings begins. That means Tuesday Night Rides can begin on March 16th...weather depending. These rides will provide enough intensity. Whether it's "junk" training or not is debatable.
Time to get ready for the gym. I need to bulk up so I can look as good as this guy with my trunks on!
