I felt I had a lot of time to get things done for the Dirt Bag Ride this Saturday. My eyes opened early this morning sending me into a mini panic. I need to do this, and this, call here, go there, blah, blah, blah.
I always do this. Wait till the end all nonchalant like then freak out at the end. It seems to always get done, just with a bit of anxiety thrown in. Just gives me "more" gray hair, which I would like to thank all the customers, reps, and friends for pointing out. Did I mention you gained weight, are losing hair, or have hair in your ear? No I didn't, just saying. You're suppose to wait till I leave then say, "holy shit, did you see all Ben's gray hair"?
Actually there isn't that much left to do. Brian has the cue cards all but wrapped up. I need to finalize the roster and get it organized. Figure out numbers and put a name to a number. I just worry about the race course. Did we get the mileage and turns correct? I don't want people to get lost, but then again this is a ride (or maybe even a race) but part of the ride/race is being able to find your way. It's all good and will be a great time.
Just a heads up to those that haven't done a gravel ride/race before: you will need someway to carry the cue cards, such as a map holder or such. Putting them in your jersey pocket doesn't work very well, as directions are given often, like every turn. Any questions let them rip. We do have map holders at the shop.
Later.

I for one have never said you have grey hair. You have fabio like hair.

Ben, I would NEVER comment on anyone's grey hair. Not with my mop.
"We do have map holders at the shop."
Smooth, Ben, smooth. You and Brian do make an excellent team, btw.
