I Caved.

After poking fun and pointing fingers I gave in and joined the ranks of "roller skier". It's always this time of year that I wish I could run to break up biking and just do something else. Since running sets my knees back so much I thought I'd give roller skiing a try. I headed to St. Joe and the start of the Wobegon Trail. I have to admit I had a pretty good time. It's not something I could or want to do everyday but it's nice to have something new to toss into the mix.
It's sort of like the trainer, it gets the muscles, etc ready for the upcoming season. I am stoked for snow.
I am signed up to do the Arrowhead 135 this year. I started to get a bit "nervous" about the race yesterday. It's going to be cold! I just need to be smart and all will go well. That and having a few months to acclimate to the cold will help too. Going from 50 to -20 is a bit much.

Later.
