Pugsley and Me.

Gym. Work. Pick up kids. Chop, chop, chop. Stir fry. Bike. Days go by fast.

Headed out last night around 6:30 on the Pugs. Hit up the North Loop, Sand Prairie, and St. Benedict Center. Sand Prairie was pretty rough and I was bouncing all over, even with minimal tire pressure. Nonetheless, it was all fun and ended with and easy 2 hours. Many sections of Sand Prairie were covered with inches of snow still! I'm pretty stoked for more! Cruising down a hill behind the Benedict Center I narrowly missed some newly installed barbed wire! It sure makes things interesting, that could have hurt a wee bit.

I've been thinking a lot about my preparedness and what I yet need to do for the upcoming Arrowhead 135. I initially was planning on doing a few snow races before the Arrowhead but have decided against this. The races themselves are not terribly expensive but toss in gas, food, and lodging it all adds up. Not to forget the gear I needed to get to be able to enter some of these races. Maybe next year I will hit a few others up and forgo the Arrowhead at $190 entry fee!
Also, there are at least 5 of us with Pug's so an all day Saturday ride is not out of the question.

I had also planned on using a rear rack, already installed and heavy, and panniers. But I am pretty sure I can get everything I need and that is required in my frame bag and impressively large seat bag. My sleeping bag will be tethered to the front bars. I need to start playing around with this. Before I was nervous but now I am jacked. The cold has come and I welcome it.

Later.

you're riding the 135 straight through right? is the sleeping bag just a precausion?
