A week from today I will be on the Arrowhead 135 course, counting down twenty some odd hours. So yeah, it's go time.
About 90% of my preparations have been made. Just a few odds and ends to finish up. I guess I am in my "taper" week. I won't do any big rides but will do a couple "shake down" rides to finalize that last 10%.
I'm feeling pretty confident in my setup and in the training I have done up to this point. The biggest challenge I'm going to face is sweat and cold. My plan is the hare and tortoise type race, slow and steady. For my first Arrowhead I want to finish and finish with minimal "war" wounds.
The long term forecast for the area shows ideal temps, 0-5 degrees. I'm sure that will change but for now my fingers are crossed.
So for now,
later.
