More Than One Pug!

Saturday was finally the day that a few of us Pugsley owners (Jim, Charlie, Ted, and myself) were able to hook up and get out for a spin.
After Friday mornings deep freeze ride, Saturday's -7 start temp felt pretty good. The pace to the trail head was a bit heated. As such, I started to sweat pretty good. At the trails the pace fell into place and the chill slowly settled in. Nothing too bad however. A constant pace thwarted off any bone chilling cold.
Jim and Charlie getting some water.

Ted sneaking through the woods.

We originally planned for 2-2.5 hours of riding. It turned into 3.5 hours. We ran out of food and water. The road back was into the wind and boring. I think the chill started to settle in and the "bonking" was coming. We put our heads down and silently rode it home. All together it was awesome to get out with others on snow bikes.
I also tried platform pedals and hiking boots. I was surprised at how well they worked! If it's cold at the race start this will definitely be my setup. Good to know.
No riding today...resting, well a bit of gym time but nothing serious.
Later.
