The Last of TIV7.

This is the last of my personal pity party that is AKA TransIowa. Actually I'm feeling ok with my decision. Expect that I biked home from Coon Rapids today, 3.5 hours, and my back didn't hurt one bit. Go figure! It does hurt now from raking and bagging leaves for 2 hours.
I'm actually pretty excited to do Almanzo (Royal 162), I think it's something like 3 weeks away. So gonna keep at it.
Here are some photos of me and my bike after my stint at TransIowa. This is after I switched from a jacket to a vest and knocked some mud off the bike...it was thick!

Surprisingly the brakes still worked and the wheels rolled.

It took some good scrubbing to get this stuff off.

So that's it. TransIowa for me is done this year. I will do it again next year. I definitely learned many things; some about the bike and gear but mostly about me. So with that it was a great event and good time.

Thanks.

Later.

Tuesday group ride tomorrow...pending weather, again.
