Mark Your Calendars.

Another great group ride last night. I never got a final count but would have to say at least 12 or more were there.
After the fiasco of getting through town we eased into our pace and headed up towards Rice, Royalton, Bowlus, Holdingford, Sartell, and home. Another 70 mile night at 21 mph.

So the Summer Solstice is June 21st, which happens to be a Tuesday! I say we leave an hour early, 4:30, and pound out a 100 miles. Sunset is 9:08, so finishing at 9:30 should be the goal. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this will have to be a "fast" 100 miles to sneak it in during daylight. Most likely an average of 21 mph or so with minimal stops. This type of ride use to happen in the past, I never was able to go, but sounds like it was a "once your off the back your off" type ride. I don't think we will have to do that but you get the idea.
Should be fun...spread the word.

Also next week on June 3rd, a Wednesday, the DuTri team of St. Cloud is hosting the 7 Wonders 10 mile Time Trial! Whoot. If I get scheduled right at work I'm there. Ask me for details or click on the link.

Man do I have the MTB bug. I so want to hit up the trails. I know they are mostly usable but I want the "whole" thing! I think I may try to head out this weekend. I know too that both systems are in need of some trail work. Not that everyone else doesn't have a busy schedule but I am pretty much out for trail work till school is done, so about another week. I would look on the MMCC blog for scheduled trail work days in the future. Some trimming, mowing, and tree removal are in order.

Ride on.

Out.
