Been Absent.

Haven't had a "real" post in a few days.  Too much coming and going...such is summer.
So to recap:

Friday: worked, got home, and on the bike riding by 5:30.  Haven't used the road bike in a few weeks.  Felt very fast.  Also haven't ridden North on paved roads in a long time.  Rode 3 hours and had a great time.  Beautiful weather.

Saturday:  off from work and no family around.  Up and riding by 7:30 on the Salsa Fargo...love this bike.  Southern wind so went south.  Rode both gravel and pavement with no preset route.  Went something like this.  St. Cloud, Clearwater, Maple Lake, Waverly, Watertown, New Germany, Silver Lake, Winsted, Cokato, St. Augusta, and Home.  8 Hours and 140 miles.  Besides getting a bit hot I felt pretty good.  I was tired at the end but not completely shot.  Rested a bit and mowed the front yard.  Got notice that some of the boys were hitting up the North Loop.  Why not?!  Geared up and jumped on the Pugs.  The ride over I was a bit dubious, but once the muscles stopped revolting and on the trail is was pretty damn fun.  Only one lap for me.

Sunday it was raining in the morning.  Cleaned the house, the family came was coming home that day!  The rain had stopped and still had sometime before I had to be to work.  Sweet.  Was able to get a nice 1.5 hour recovery ride in.  Felt oh so good.
Worked for a bit and boogied home to meet the family.  Our kids have a rough life.  They were home all of a couple hours from one grandparent's cabin and off to the next.  Jen, Harper, and I also went up to my folks cabin for 24 hours or so.  Go there Sunday evening.

Monday: Swim, swim, swim.  The kids are fish and love swimming...Great me too!  We had a great day.  I also set off to swim some distance.  Nothing much but enough to know I'm not going to drown in the one triathlon I do a year, August 11th.  Evening came and Jen, Harper, and I headed home.

Tuesday:  Work and group ride.  I believe it's been over a month since I've done a Tuesday group ride.  It's time.  Since there is a race this weekend at Avon I'm assuming we will ride out there to ride the course.  Also hoping it isn't bleed from the eyeballs fast!

Out.
