It's Almost Here!

Yesterday was an off day from work.  Usually that would be filled with lots of riding.  But I had Dirt Bag stuff to attend to and Harper was home with me as well.  We got a lot done but having a 6 month old around is surprisingly a lot of work!

I still did get out for a ride.  Matt R. and I left my house around 6 pm.  Headed North for some gravel and pavement.  I like to ride by myself a lot but yesterday was one of those times when it was really nice to have the motivation and company of another rider.  Not sure what it was but the 'ol legs were not loving me.  The wind and soft gravel were kicking my butt at times.  Kept thinking of the Arrowhead and this similar feeling...kept pushing the pedals over.
Fun 3 hour ride, despite being worked.

Thought about maybe running this morning but the legs are tired and the knees have been acting up a bit this week.  Arthritic knees=awesome!
So a bit of gym time and some kettle bell action.  Maybe even a sauna!

Up early tomorrow for some dirtbag action.  Will be posting to Twitter (#dirtbag).  I have no idea on the number of riders attending.  I've been getting a lot of people bailing for one reason or another.  All is cool because I've been letting a lot of people in too!
A bit nervous as well.  It's a free event with costs (some needed others by choice).  We rely on the donations (or t-shirt sales) to help us break even.  Hoping enough show for that!

Sunday is Fridley CX.  I'm going (98% sure), but with how the legs felt yesterday I think I may be just going through the motions.  I don't ride the Dirt Bag but am always shot at days end...funny how that works.

Later.
