Fresh Snow and Wind.

While the snowmobile trails were wind blown and a bit soft they were still ok.  Enough snowmobile traffic had used them and they appeared to have been groomed as well.  I biked from home to St. Augusta, jumped on the trail west, turned back around for home at hwy 15.  About 3 hours.  It takes me about 30 minutes to get to the trails via bike.  Heading east or north it's an hour or more.  Funny this is the first year I've hit up the trails in St. Augusta.  Would love to take it all the way into St. Joseph some day but that would be a big day.

Only work till noon today.  I'm going to ride but already the wind is crazy.  Just all that more interesting.  May drive to a trail head somewhere to avoid the openness of the roads.

Jen is starting to freak out a bit about the Arrowhead 135 as the Polar Vortex is to return the last week of the month.  Polar Vortex should be read in a booming voice with and echo, much more dramatic that way.  I'm not too worried.  The first year I did the AH135 temps were reported as low as -42.  Yes it hurt and was cold but nothing turned black and fell off.  I say bring it!

Have a good one.

Out.
