A Bit More Speed.

Wow!
I love riding my fat bikes...a lot.  But after riding them exclusively for the past several months I've forgotten the freedom and speed a "regular" bike can give!
Yesterday was my short day at work so I hustled home and readied myself and the Surly CrossCheck SS for some road miles.  Skinny tires, 45 degrees, light breeze, and sun all made for a great ride.  I even hit up some gravel, which I was surprised it wasn't a mushy mess...yet.
It was nothing crazy, just about 2.5 hours, and did it feel oh so good.

I started going back to the gym this week to work on my stabilizing muscles in my legs/knees, (I'm missing the ACL's).  Even doing low weight to no weight my legs (from Monday) are still sore!  Have to say I've enjoyed getting back into the routine, nice way to start the day.

I had hoped to get out ride the trails one more time on the fat bike this Sunday.  But after inspecting the trails on my ride yesterday I've deemed that not fun.  More road and gravel I guess!

Have a great one.

Out.
