Recap.

Saturday was the nice day of the weekend.  Mostly sunny, light wind (later picking up more out of the  north), and good temperatures.  Despite warming up to the mid 50's it was a pretty chilly morning.  So once again I found myself waiting to ride, allowing the temp to creep up a bit.  Upon leaving around 9 I realized I could have left much earlier.  Even with temps in the low the 30's the full sun made it feel much better.

With the wind out of the north I headed mostly that direction with some east tossed in as well.  Once I hit he Soo Line ATV trail, east of Hillman, I decided to take that a bit as I made my way back home.  The trail started off just fine but later, when I was fully committed to the trail, it turned pretty sloppy. Guess it was time to get the Cutthroat dirty!  Once I was able to get off the trail I did making a strong push south with the tailwind.

The ride.

The rest of the day was spent with the family going for a walk, cooking, watching a movie and such.  Sunday I was up a bit before 7.  I was downstairs drinking coffee for 2.5 hours before anyone else got up!  I think I'm one of the few parents that get up before their kids on Christmas and Easter.  Finally the kids got up, assessed the loot from the Easter Bunny, found the hidden chocolate eggs around the house, Jen made a feast for breakfast, and lots of chilling.  A great Sunday.

Around 2 I headed out on the Seven MTB to hit up our trails.  They were officially opened on Friday. The North Loop has the "spring" loop open and all of Plum Creek is ready to roll.  With freezing temps and wind in the double digits out of the north it was nice to be able to hide in the woods.  Rolled home with 2 hours in.

The past few weeks + I've put in some good hours on the bike.  Who knows, as I suck at not riding, but I'm thinking I'll cut back this week some and give the legs and mind a bit of break. At least till the weekend when the temperatures appear to finally rebound above average.

Happy Week.
