The Weekend.

Saturday was to be a longer ride but I ended up having to work so I headed out early to sneak a ride in before heading in.  It was overcast, chilly, and going to be windy.  But on the ride the wind was great and the temp was perfect for how I was dressed.  It was really good ride that I wanted to last longer than it did.  Everything was clicking the right way.  But work was pretty fun too, so Saturday was a good day.

The Ride.

Sunday I attempted to sleep in but was up and wide awake before 6.  I had coffee and sat around till 8 or so before I started making breakfast burritos for Mother's Day.  Later we headed over to my folks to drop off a gift and cards, at a distance, and then headed up to Little Falls to do the same for Jen's Grandma.  Jen suggested I ride home, since I'm not one to turn down a ride, I was all in.

I headed north a bit to Camp Ripley then headed over to Randall.  After crossing Hwy 10 I proceeded east a bit then south with the tailwind.  I continued south with some westward sections tossed in.  I was totally zoned out and started thinking I was somewhere I wasn't.  I was surprised to be coming up on Hwy 27 and basically back in Little Falls!  I was off about 25 miles in my head!  To this point it was mostly gravel (on the Cutthroat).  But since I was now further out than anticipated I stuck to pavement for a good chunk of the way home.  The tailwind sure helped with the speed and effort.

The Ride.

We ordered up some food and watched a movie to wrap up Mother's Day. Another good day.
