I'm gonna make you sweat till you can't sweat no more...

Well it appears I took a little break from updating last week.  Mostly because the the days I try to update I was up early and out the door to get a ride in before work.  It's been getting increasingly harder to get rides in after work.  Thus, more morning rides.

I won't recap all the rides last week but I did get a solid week of riding in and a nice weekend as well.  Saturday was the nasty day.  It started off ok but as the day progressed the dew point levels climbed.  I kept waiting for myself to run out of sweat!  No luck.
I honestly don't remember if I've ridden in air that thick before, it was suffocating.  I went through almost 300 oz of fluids on the 126 mile ride.  Most of those fluids were Infinite Nutrition. I love the stuff.  Not a cramp, no over heating symptoms, and it kept my hunger a bay.  It's a high caloric drink which is perfect for hot days.  I tend to not like my food on hot days.  On this day I only ate 1 Clif Bar.  The rest came from my drink.

Sunday was Harper's First Communion.  We had a small gathering with Grandparents in our backyard afterwards.  It was a great day temperature wise but damn that wind!  Around 3:30 I headed out for a spin.  Well not so much a spin as the wind made it more of grind, at least for the first half.  Truly the River Road to Rice is a blessing on NW windy days.  It provided such great protection.  I did a small run on 450th Street before making my way back home, rather quickly as the wind helped a ton.

This week is looking a bit unsettled with the weather.  Storms here and there.  I'll get rides in while I can.  Like now...time to ride!

Today marks 12 years sober!  I usually have some big ride I would do this week to commemorate it.  However I'm not feeling it this year.  I may still try to figure something out for this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Happy Monday.
