One more before the weekend turns into a furnace...again.

Thursday was looking to be a gorgeous day.  The last one before the heat, humidity, and dew point take over for the weekend.  The wind was E/SE later switching to mostly SE.  I changed my mind on a route several times.  Even down county road 8 I was changing things up.  I finally decided to hit the start (just a bit) of the Dirt Bag and just continue on South and East.  I did this for about 4 hours when I turned back West and North.  I made it to Hennepin County (Minitrista/St. Bonifacious).  I took the Dakota Rail Trail a few miles before jumping back on some gravel.

Since I got the Wandrer.earth app (tracks all the roads you've been on) I find myself seeking out new roads.  It gets easier the further I get from home but that's getting to be a haul.  I got 34 new road miles on this ride.

I stopped in Winsted to refuel.  I neglected to count my cash before I left and barely had enough for fluids.  I had to return the can of Coke...bummer!  I was able to make quick time the rest of the way home.  I was on the Evergreen.  No matter how long I'm away from that bike it fits so well at first pedal stroke.  Such a great bike.

The Ride.

Later that evening we met my folks at ColdStone.  They take us there every year on, or near, my sober anniversary. Great way to end the day.

Another early morning ride for today.  The rest of the weekend is looking quite unsettled.  Getting in rides may be tricky.  I'll try.  May be shorter rides, close to home.

Happy Weekend.
