A Great Four Days.

Friday was warm, almost hot, but with seemingly no humidity it wasn't oppressive.  Plus this time a year anytime the sun dips behind a cloud or starts to set the temperature starts to change.  Winds were out of the SW changing more West as the day went on.  I started out down County Road 8 on the Cutthroat.  I let the wind decide my route more or less.  It seemed to be staying more South than West so I made another run to Darwin and the ball of twine.  Even managed to find a few new roads.

Obligatory photo of the bike and ball.

On the return trip I again tried to deviate from the standard route.  But the closer I get back to home the harder it is to find new roads.  The wind was pretty strong so the return trip was speedy.
The Ride.

About an hour into my ride I felt sealant starting to spray.  The plug on the rear tire from a previous puncture let loose.  Popped another plug in and was on my way.  About 30 minutes later the same thing.  Tubeless is great until it isn't.  Putting a tube in is quite the mess.  I used the Ziploc bag I keep my tube in to patch the now large hole.  Worked great the rest of the ride.  Time for new tires on the Cutthroat.

Saturday I was asked to ride with two sets of folks.  Sheesh, can't find anyone to ride with usually and now I had to decide.  Not wanting to be gone too long I went with the ride leaving earlier and more than likely getting back faster.
Chase and Noah, who's ages added up is basically my age, showed up a bit past 8.  NE winds, although nothing crazy, had us going on gravel roads towards Milaca.  Short of Milaca we started our push North.  The gravel seemed exceptionally chunky and soft.  The good line would shortly turn into the shitty line.  With two 100+ miles the previous two days, my legs were barking.  By no means was it a hammer fest but a solid pace was set.  It was great to catch up with the fellas.  The weather was damn near perfect.  Very fun ride.
The Ride...on the Moots.  The Evergreen is at the shop for a customer to ride.

I should have most likely not ridden Sunday but me being me I was up and riding by 7, again on the Moots.  It was predicted to be windy.  Already at 7 the wind was in the double digits, SE.  I did a variation on the Dirt Bag, combining a few different years.  Wright County gravel is so much smoother than Benton!
The Ride.

While not riding, the weekend consisted of running errands, yard work, hanging out, backyard fires to burn the millions of sticks that fall from oak trees, and cleaning.  It was great four days but excited to get back to work.
I have an eye appointment this morning.  It's just letting up on the rain, which we desperately need.  I only have a rear fender on the commuter so hoping I don't show up too wet.

The next few days of riding with most likely be really chill.  Guessing I'll not ride today, besides to and from work.  The other days I hope to jump into the woods.  Yep, more wind.
