Shoulder Season.

Enough already.  This in between weather is getting to me.  Monday's ride started in the low teens.  While not cold we haven't been there much this year so it felt cold.  Yesterday was a wet mess all day, hovering in the mid 30's.  I bagged the idea of riding in the morning as it was still snow and slippery.  That afternoon on my way home I went back and forth on riding.  The roads were wet and it was misting.  I finally decided to ride the County Road 8/Silo loop on the Cutthroat.

OK it was fun but my bike is now a mess.  Maybe I should have skipped Franklin (gravel) on the way home.  I could go for some snow and a change of seasons.

I noticed Jim and some fellas were still at Onyx on my way home so I dropped in to say hi.  Quick chat but it was good to see them.  It's been awhile.

I planned on riding this afternoon as well as a fog advisory is in place till 8 this morning with a caution for slick spots.  That has seemed to have passed.  Decision time.  I didn't get up as early had I planned on riding but I think I can still make it work.

I did sign up for a race!  Something I haven't done in a long time.  The Fat Pursuit.  However it is virtual this year.  Smart move.  The idea is from January 8th-31st you will complete 200K fat bike miles in your area.  Fat Pursuit has always required you to boil water at some point during the race.  This year is no different.  Pictures of said boiling water and proof of your ride are to be sent to the race director.  Obviously not ideal but considering the situation we are in I love it.  It'll be a huge motivator for me.

Happy Thanksgiving.
