What a Weather Week!

Everyday day this week has been pretty amazing in the weather department.  The week prior I was basically riding in my winter clothing.  This week I have been back to jersey and shorts!  Time to soak it in while it's here.  Next week is looking to go back to normal November temperatures.

Thursday's temperature was to flirt with 70 degrees.  It was a bit cooler at the start so I wore a long sleeve wool jersey, full finger gloves, bib shorts, and a light headband.  I later switched out to half finger gloves, removed the headband, and unzipped the jersey.  Pretty comfortable all day.

I left right around 8.  The wind was just barely out of the NW, shifting West, and later SW.  I grabbed the Cutthroat and headed down County Road 8, SE.  I made my way over to Kimball and hit parts of my route to Darwin.  But instead of heading more South I basically started in on straight West.  I wanted to avoid the Chain of Lakes area and Highway 23 if possible so I went further West before heading North.  When I bumped into Lake Karonis (Paynesville) I figured I'd gone far enough and started on a North and East route home.

There never was much of a wind but enough that the tailwind helped speed things along.

The Ride.

The wind is predicted to make a comeback this afternoon and stick around all weekend.  Sunday seems to be the worst with gusts up to 40mph!  I'm heading out this morning to beat the wind.  I should be pedaling before 5:30.  It's 52 degrees out!

Happy Weekend.
