Closing In.

Well it appears reaching 20,000 miles on the year is now a goal.  I was ready to let it happen if it did and if not, meh.  But the encouragement and such from friends and followers has me going for it.

I didn't ride Christmas Day so that added to the daily total needed.  I did get 100 or so miles both Saturday and Sunday.  I am back on the studded Cutthroat.  We have received some snow and colder temps.  While the roads are good in many spots they are treacherous in others.  Having sustained a concussion last year I'm playing it safe.  With the knobby, studded tires the going is slow.  Slow and steady I guess.

I am at 19,664 miles for the year.  So 84 miles a day.  That's a lot given the weather this time of year.  Plus having to work, family stuff, etc.  Nonetheless I'm optimistic.  I'm heading out this morning sometime before 6 for a few hours.  More snow is predicted Tuesday into Wednesday.  Totals are not consistent yet but up to 4".  While not a lot it will surely make things harder.  Then a small cold snap is coming as well.

Better get going.  Happy Monday.
