Our first taste of the Polar Vortex is coming this weekend. Outside events are being canceled due to the predicted cold temperatures. February is predicted to be colder and snowier than normal. I say bring it. Our winter has been pretty boring. Nothing extreme. Let's spice it up!
In the mean time it's pretty mild. Yesterday I headed down to Sand Prairie. The trails most used by walkers are like sidewalks now. Even the back section is running well. We could still use more snow back there to help hide the bumps and such. Despite the prediction for a snowier February there is nothing in the foreseeable future.
From SP I took my bushwhack way into Friedrich Park. Took the crossover to the North Loop. There I did an out perimeter loop, back to the crossover and FP. Great ride and a great way to start the day. Not riding Monday was good and needed but man did I miss riding as a way to start my day and week. Routine.
Today everyone is at school. I'll head out to Plum Creek and the River Bluffs after Harper gets on the bus. Toby isn't too used to his crate anymore as everyone has been home most of the school year. It will be an interesting day.
