plbhhhhhhh...

I don't know...
I told myself I wasn't going to complain about the weather in this blog entry, but what else is there? This time of year the weather really dictates the riding. Given that, the weekend sucked for riding.
I did get 4 hours in on Friday before work, so getting up early payed off.

Saturday I had be out at SJU by 6:15 a.m. to bike tech for their "Fruit at the Finish" tri. It rained the whole time. It rained till about 2 that day. Out with the rain and in with some crazy wind. I had planned to ride at night after work but couldn't bring myself to do it. So I hit the gym up for a bit.

Sunday was cold and windy, but no rain! I got a 3 hour ride in before work. The wind was ridiculous. Even more ridiculous: it was May 1st and my water bottles started to freeze.

Today I was going to ride early again before work at 9. Waking up this morning it's still breezy, overcast, and cold. I just can't do it. That's not fun. So to the gym, where I can wear shorts and a t-shirt. The rest of the week looks more promising. Tomorrow is Avery's 5th birthday so I am pretty sure I will not do the Tuesday Road Ride. Time will tell.

Time to go get ripped!

Out.

Like you Ben I ride almost everyday all winter without hardly a whimper, but come on, May 2, 33 degrees, overcast, 15 mph wind out of the NW. That's a wind chill of 24 degrees! 33 in May feels colder then -15 in January.

Every time I see that filthy pile of snow at Abbott Hospital (I bet it still has a week left to melt) I think of you and Kyia grooming the North Loop.

At least today was sunny and warm-ish.
I hope it doesn't snow in July this year.
