CIRREM Training.

Ride: Surly Cross Check, single speed (36x16).
Time: 4.5 hours.
Distance: 100k+, (about 65 miles).

At the end of the month I have CIRREM (central Iowa rock road enduro metric) to ride. It's 100k of gravel roads. Today I decided to shoot for 100k myself. Some were on paved roads, some on gravel roads, and most were on snow/ice packed roads. I didn't crash! But very glad I decided to put on a studded tire up front. I felt pretty good for the whole ride. I haven't been riding a single speed much anymore so riding one that far did give my legs a workout...they are tired.
Time for a smoothie: Mango, pineapple, banana, blueberry, peaches, yogurt, and juice...yum.

Later.
