Done.

I am all done counting calories. I understand the importance of it and see how well it can and does work. However, eating became a "job" for me, and that sucks. A major reason I work out so much is so I can eat what and when I want. The last week and a half that I have been counting calories I was usually hungry. Whether that was mental or physical I don't know, maybe a bit of both. I was always under the suggested calorie consumption for the day, constantly playing the numbers game. Because I was limiting myself from indulges here and there I started drinking more diet soda and diet energy drinks again. Enough is enough. I will probably stop weighing myself too. It's just a number. I'm not racing seriously so why do I care if I am 185 of 180...so I can climb a hill faster on a Tuesday Night Group Ride? Being obsessed with numbers is why I got rid of a cycling computers a long time ago. Last year I took the plunge and got a Garmin. The number game has not yet begun with it! I just use it for fun and a training tool. More of a guide than anything.

That all being said, when I got home from work my mother-in-law brought over a bunch of candy! So I had more than I probably should have. So yeah, I am off to the gym...damn calories!

Ride and ski tomorrow. Still not sure on the plan, but it will fall into place. Maybe Bravo for dinner!

Later.
