Back to Winter.

Thursday morning Mike and I headed out from the shop for a ride at 6 am. Still very dark at that hour. Since we were both working 10-8 (teaching a community ed. class) we opted for a early morning ride. It was dark but nice. We were able to get a bit over 3 hours in. As the sun came up we were energized to keep going. If we didn't work I think we would have ridden for a "long" time!

This morning I headed out, in the light, for another ride before a rest day on Saturday. The weather has changed drastically. Overcast, cold, and lots of wind. I headed north into the wind for the first couple of hours. Meandering around Rice to Royalton. Thank god for my iPod. I would have freaked out at the wind otherwise. It was so damn constant. I even saw snowflakes. This is Minnesota! I took several new roads on the way back home. It's fun exploring, especially with a GPS. Always nice to have the GPS as back up. Rolled in the driveway with 4 hours. My legs are tired. Time for a rest day. Sunday through today (Friday) I have about 13 riding hours, 1/2 hour running, and 1 hour on a stair climber. Tomorrow will be light weights...upper body!
Hope to ride some gravel on Sunday. Still working out the logistics. Jen may need to do a long run so maybe I will hang with the kids before work while she runs. Time will tell.
Hoping for the return of the sun!

Out.
