Recap.

I was at the St. Joseph Wobegon Trail head by 4:30 am Friday. I headed on the snowmobile trails to St. Stephen. From there I went towards Holdingford, down to St. Ana, Avon, and back on the Wobegon.
Total time of 5 hours 45 minutes. The trails were in good shape, allowing me to move along at a pretty good clip. The trail was also much flatter going this way. I did crash on a sweet, swooping down hill however! No hiccups as far as gear and myself were concerned. I'm feeling more and more ready for the Arrowhead. This week I plan on riding with the Pugs fully loaded.

I made up a pretty sweet trail mix too. It seemed to hold off my hunger more so than other things I tried.
Trail Mix:

  • raisins
  • dark choc. covered coconut
  • dark choc. covered raisins
  • choc. covered pretzels
  • cashews
  • almonds
  • choc. chips, dark and semi sweet

Yummy.

Saturday was Brinna's first reconciliation. It was freaking exciting! After we went to Jule's Bistro then xc skiing for a bit. I then hit the gym and sauna.

Sunday I got a 3 hour Pugsley ride in. About half road and half snowmobile trails. It was colder today so the trails were rock hard. My water froze before I could get any, so no water. It was my bad. I forgot to blow air into my hydration pack after I filled it this morning. Live and learn.

Snow, sweat, and other moisture clinging to everything.

Later.

what's a reconciliation?

It's when you tell the priest of all your sins. He then tells you to say some Our Fathers and Hail Mary's and he then absolves you of all your sins. Pretty sweet gig!

Dark Chocolate covered coconut is heavenly enough I don't need a priest to intervene.
