Back on the Pugs.

Since I worked at noon today I thought I'd get some Pugsley time in. It's been awhile, first time since completing the Arrowhead 135, so I thought I'd head out to St. Joe and hit up the snowmobile trails a bit. Little did I know it was going to be -15 degrees at the start. I had lighter weight tights on than normal so the knees got nice and red, but other than that all was good.
Without all the extra gear the Pugsley felt fast and nimble, I know that's kind of an oxymoron. Having the trails in great shape helped too. The knee that started to hurt during the Arrowhead began to flair up again. I thought the ride may have to be cut short but it went away and still seems fine now.
The legs and knees felt pretty good this morning too for having run 7.5 miles on the treadmill yesterday morning. I love that I can run, occasionally, and not have any knee pain! Hoot, hoot!
I ended up with 3.5 hours of riding. Not sure on the distance but I felt like I was going faster than normal.
I'm not going to lie...I'm more than ready for warmer weather. I actually want jersey and shorts weather. Hopefully just a few months out.

Later.
