So when I got home from work last night everyone was gearing up for bed. I put Avery to bed and promised myself I wouldn't fall asleep this time. A slap on the back for me, I did it! It's 8:40 and everyone is in bed. I somewhat wanted to head to the gym and sit in the sauna but that seemed like a lot of work to get back in the car and drive across town so I did the next best thing...rode the rollers.
I haven't been riding the rollers or trainer a ton this year, more outside time, so I still find it somewhat fun. With just music in my ears and gravel in my thoughts and hour literally flew by. I was shooting for 30-45 minutes. It felt good to spin the legs after pushing the Pugsley gears and then standing all day. Only problem is I wasn't ready for bed till about 11. Which isn't late by most standards but it's late for this guy.
This morning was set aside as my weigh in day. A first for a very long time. I know I've blogged about it in the past but I'm a bit of a freak about weight so I just avoid it most of the time so I don't obsess about it. But I really want to be at 180 lbs for the upcoming, jersey and short, riding season. So constant weigh ins should keep me on track. Well I have 10 lbs to go. I was hoping for less but so it goes. Weight is such a subjective and flexible thing. I don't feel like I am overweight and tomorrow I could weigh 4 lbs more or less. So I'm taking it with stride and using it as a general guide. Next up is the cover of GQ for this guy!
Reminder: this Sunday at Rev @ 1:oo we roll out for 3+ hours of asphalt, gravel, ice, and sloppy fun.
