Quick Recap:
Friday afternoon I went to the Kid's Apple Duathalon as the mechanic. It pretty much rained the entire time. It looked like it was going to be a poor turnout, but with about 20 minutes left till the start the cars came pulling in. Ended up with a great turn out and not much work for this guy. The way I like it.
Saturday it was back out for the regular Apple Duathalon. This time I was running a water station in St. Stephen. Weather was awesome. It was pretty neat to see all the DuTri team members out racing!
Jen and the girls were out helping. After we thought we'd hit up the BMX racing for a bit, to watch not race! Turns out they weren't racing Saturday but Sunday and Monday.
Back home I mowed then we weeded the flower garden and laid out new mulch.
With the weather still nice I went out for a ride. I ended up finding two 5 minute thunderstorms, one with hail. Good times. Rode a lot of the DirtBag course, it's looking good. About 3.5 hours.
Sunday I worked but before hand I got a 3 hour ride in with Mike, Matt, Troy, and Ben. I haven't ridden with Troy (lives in MT) or Ben (lives in Minneapolis) for a long time so it was fun chatting with them for a bit. I broke a spoke on the rear wheel so had to somewhat nurse it home and not continue on.
Monday I did a little gym workout, lots of laundry, walked around Lake George with the family, attempted a slack line (I suck), and just hung out.
Overall it was a pretty good holiday weekend.
This week will be a blur.
Since I have stopped drinking, almost 3 years, I really don't wake up in the middle of the night stressing about what "I have" to do at work etc. This morning I was wide awake at 4 running the multitude of things I need to do through my head.
I have 3 bikes to builds, from frame up, one being a full-suspension tandem! All these builds are the type of thing that I would be better off doing after hours to limit the interruptions, etc. We'll see.
This week we also start our Anniversary Sale on Thursday so that tends to bring in more folks so the store will be busier too. All good. I just need to make a list and start checking stuff off.
Tonight is the group ride. I'm in and it's going to be a breezy one.
Tomorrow is the 7 Wonders 10 Mile Time Trial, I am also in for that one then it's 10-8 shifts from there on out.
Let's Go.
Later.
