Tuesday Road Ride, 5:30 from the shop.
If the weather holds it looks like it's going to be a good turnout.
If it rains tonight I'll be bummed...it's gorgeous out now.
I know trail work needs to be done at both the North Loop and Plum Creek. Finding a time has been hard. Maybe this Thursday, stay tuned. We are in the process of ripping our deck apart and replacing with a patio made of pavers. I got the deck out last night, up next is renting a jackhammer! No I am not handy. I do the destruction then someone else comes in and does the hard stuff. Handy with bikes and that's about it.
Sort of random, but I have been thinking about things I have used this year, in the bike world, that I have previously not used...and I like them.
- Compression Socks, specifically CEM. Truly believe they help in recovery and help fatigue while standing on concrete all day. Love em.
- Titanium bikes. Always have lusted but never had. Have two Salsa ti bikes this year: Selma and La Cruz. Light, stiff, comfortable, classic looking, and durable.
- Giro cycling shoes. After one ride in both the mtb and road shoes they have become my favorite shoes ever. I still get a hot spot here and there but nothing like before. We like them so much at the shop that we will be carrying the full line up next year.
- Hammer products. While I have used Hammer in the past I have not used to the extent I have this year. Supplements to energy drink...love it. No gut rot and enough boost to keep me going.
O.K. enough of that. Time to head to work.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Out.
