The Monday Night MTB Ride did not disappoint...another good time was had.
I got 2 hours in before meeting up with the rest at 8:30. Riding the Pugsley + at night = good times exploring. I did a couple laps at Plum Creek then headed off to explore around the River Bluff Trails. There is some serious potential back there, just if the "birders" didn't get their undies in a bunch every time they see a biker...
Back down the Beaver Island trails, through Riverside, behind the St. Benedict Center, and finally the North Loop.
I was planning on 1-2 laps with the group (which consisted of: Charlie, Matt R., Brian, the new Jeff, old Jeff doesn't come anymore, and myself) hopefully ending the night with 3.5 hours.
We rode the course backwards. Amazing what a difference that makes. You don't realize how well you know a trail until you ride it backwards, at night! I was over shooting corners, clipping trees, and slamming on the brakes all night! Still a blast.
In the last sport section I noticed the rear tire was getting soft. I tried to ignore it but as Charlie says, "it was starting to sound angry"! This is somewhat funny as I was earlier in the day talking to a customer (thanks Larry!) about how I have never gotten a flat on the Pugsley...I even knocked on wood!
The fix a flat thing I had fixed my hands with white stuff. So the Big Air filled it enough to allow me to finish the lap and get home standing up with my weight on the front tire.
So only 2 hours 50 minutes. I'm good with that.
For there is more today!
Later.

You missed a little bit of carnage in the downhill rock section after you left!
It isn't looking too bad today! Some liquid bandage and butterflies are holding nicely.
