A Too Long Recap.

Whoa...almost a week since my last post! In all honesty it has been busy, well that and I've been a wee bit lazy!

Tuesday I headed to Madison, WI for the winter trade show. I wasn't very excited to go, since we really didn't have a winter, but had a pretty swell time! Some neat ski stuff on tap for next year. Including a xc ski with a women in a bikini on it! Finally the nordic world isn't all concervative and straight laced!
Bummer, no one could guarantee me snow.
I got home late Wednesday night, around 11. Up early Thursday and back to routine. Get kids ready, breakfast, gym, work, pick kids up, gym (they requested), Panera, home, bed.

Friday I was slated to head down to the cities, nice and early, for the start of QBP's Frostbike. I had a couple of presentations to attend. I wasn't feeling it. I was tired, wanted to ride, and I had to drive my kids down to the cities later that afternoon.
Got an awesome ride in! 4.5 hours on the cross check...a meandering ride to no where in particular.

Saturday I worked...awesomely busy, fun day! Ran a bit more than an hour at the North Loop. The trails are still pretty slick in spots. Riding would be sketchy. Running an hour has become almost routine...meaning it doesn't really hurt. Much past that and things start to fall apart. I'm happy with and hour. After work I got word that the family would be in the cities till late so off to the gym I went for some stretching, core, a wee bit of lifting, and sauna!

Sunday a 10:00 ride was scheduled from the shop. I took off from home on the All City Nature Boy a bit after 8. Yep, cty road 8 loop. At the shop I met up with: Jimmy, Corey, Matt R., Josh, and Mark. Good crew. I think it's time to ride with people a bit more! It was a great time. Got to ride some roads, both asphalt and grav, that I haven't explored yet. Always a good time. The weather was ridiculous! The wind was a bit too strong out of the south but that's ok when it's 40+ degrees in February.
Ended up at home with 87 miles...13 miles short of the #teamcrc 12 in 12 100 mile challenge. Still have 9 days left. I ran out of time. We are in the process of rearranging the kid's rooms. Getting bunk beds this week. Beds, couches, and dressers all getting moved. I promised Jen I would be home to help around 2. Jen later told me I should have just ridden 13 more miles, doh! Looking at next Sunday for a 100...maybe.

Today I'm also home from work. Planned on getting to the gym early and getting my swim on. Avery climbed into bed early this morning and I couldn't bring myself to go. Now they (the gym) have water aerobics, so maybe later, maybe not. More moving and cleaning today. If I have my say we will hit up Cherry Berry today to celebrate Fat Tuesday...a day early.

Out.
