Yesterday morning I met Tim over at Rejuv for my weekly session. Tim had me doing a series of plank maneuvers and balancing drills. Sounds easy enough. I was a sweaty mess and feel pretty worked over this morning! On the right track!
After work yesterday I wasn't feeling a ride. It was still pretty dreary out and had been raining all day. Nonetheless I headed out on the single, fendered Cross Check. The hopes were to do 3 hours, but 1/2 hour in and I wasn't feeling it. OK maybe 2 hours. At one hour I told myself I could start heading back. At 1 hour I turned North in preparation of making my square and heading home. A bit later I was feeling pretty good, almost great...so I kept on going North. Once I crossed over into Morrison County I figured it was time to head home. So the planned 3 hour ride, cut down to 2 hours, turned into almost 4.5 hours (70+ miles of asphalt and gooey, but oh so fun gravel)! Had time, daylight, and other commitments not been an issue I could have easily continued on. Funny how that works. Just takes awhile for the "endurance gear" to kick in.
The 'ol back didnt' have one twinge of pain either....thanks Tim!
Out.
