Tuesday was a success and I got my 3 hours in before work at 9. Usually the wind is pretty mellow that early in the morning, but not Tuesday. Battled a pretty strong North wind. Came to my creek crossing and chickened out...again. Pretty deep still and moving at a good clip. Only crossed it once and it was frozen. In due time!
Wednesday I really hadn't planned on a ride. Just didn't see how it would work. Did the gym thing in the morning: some rowing and kettle bells, work, pick up kids, eat, and chill. Jen got home earlier than I thought so a night ride popped into my head. I didn't ignore the thought and did it. So glad I did.
3.5 hours of gravel (mostly Dirt Bag I). I was graced with and almost full moon, no wind, and pretty fine temps. Was able to clear the head from some work stuff and end with a smile. Took awhile to fall asleep, but that's a small price to pay for a fun, unplanned ride!
Not much today, thinking of some swimming. Friday I meet with Tim at Rejuv, work till noon, then head to the cities for a major suffer fest on the bike with many of our new team members. These guys are a league or three ahead of me. It's always good to have an excuse in your back pocket. Mine is a lack of a road bike, not an excuse but I'm taking it! Cross bike it is! Should be fun!
Out.
