Getting Whitle the Gettings Good.

Packing the riding in the past couple days and today.  OK three back to back to back days but it seems like a lot!
Tuesday was the group ride.  The numbers appeared to be sparse.  The sky was clear but the wind was hollowing out of the NW.  Well by the time we rolled out we were 14 strong, picking up another along the way to make it 15!  One of the biggest Tuesday Night Rides.
Some nights you have it and others you don't...I felt pretty good.  Did some fun pulls and easily recovered in the protection of 14 other riders, oh so fun.
Ended with 64 miles at 21.5mph average.

Wednesday I worked a short shift, 9-noon...more like 7:30-noon.  Originally I thought this would be the day I attempted my 100 (teamcrc) miler for the month of May.  But later decided to ride 3-4 hours and hang with the family instead.  The weather was PERFECT!  Just awesome.  I had the GPS on the map screen just pedaling along.  Flipped it over to the data screen and I was riding south for 2 hours 20 minutes already!  Oops, gonna be late.  Made the turn for home, albeit not direct...did some meandering too!  About half way home I looked at my mileage and say I would be close to 100 when I got home, so I made some more turns here and there to add some on.  I decided to go for it.  I was averaging 20 mph so the 100 should only take 5 hours and not the usual 6-7 that a gravel bike takes me.  Yep, I was rocking the Giant road bike...fast.
Ended with 100 miles at a 20.1 mph average...so a bit under 5 hours.
Still had some family time, a good day.

This morning I'm leaving the shop around 6 am (work noon-8) to head out again.  Looking at 4 hours or so.  Then work and life get busy so not too much riding the remainder of the week, I think.

Gotta go.

Out.
