Legs feel pretty good after 125 miles at almost 7 hours yesterday. I, however, am tired. Would love to go back to bed. Wonder what Matt and Mike would think if I slept the whole way to Duluth!
Yep, getting picked up shortly and off to Duluth for a day of MTBing...can't wait.
Yesterday's ride was great. Mike, Matt (peeled off to go to work), Mark, Charlie, and myself left Mike's house at 5:30. Headed north to Little Falls. It really didn't matter what direction we went as the wind was light. The first couple hours were a bit brutal. All of our hands froze, well except Matt, whom I made fun of for wearing lobster mitts...I take it back 'ol wise one.
From Little Falls we made our way to Swanville and tried for Grey Eagle but wasn't sure on how to get there and we were running low on time. Man that area is gorgeous. Rolling hills, nice scenery, low traffic, and great roads. Would love to spend more time out that way exploring. Saw many sweet gravel roads calling my name.
Came back through Upsula, Holdingford, Avon, St. Joseph, and STC. Great ride...great day. Thanks.
Spent the rest of the day getting the Salsa Selma ready for today. Put the old brakes back on. Something is up with the front brake so I put the XTR brake on, running a mutt now. Had to file the brake itself as Hope rotors have a connection point that likes rub on most calipers...it's always something. Literally spent 2-3 hours fiddling with the damn bike and it's a single speed. I was doing it at home, so a lot of time was running around trying to find tools in my mess of a garage and basement. Someday.
Well the coffee has done it's thing...gotta go.
So excited.
Out.
