Ben's Bike Week.

Bike week is over!
From Sunday to Sunday, so eight days, I had 30 hours of riding.  It was awesome...and the legs still feel pretty good.  Nonetheless, this will be a much easier week.

The last post mentioned Duluth for Friday.  Mike, Matt, and I headed up around 5:30 am for a day of dirt, ahem mud, and fun.  With pit stops and lots of construction we were a bit behind but nothing serious.  We were clipped in and riding by 9 or so.  Hit up Lester, Hartley, Skyline, Peidmont, Spirit, some points in between, Willard Munger, Westside Lake Trail, and the boardwalk.  All our GPS units varied but something like 7 hours and 75 miles of riding.  Originally we thought we would have more than this but as it turns out that was more than enough.  The trails in Duluth were amazing.  We all had a blast...topped it off with some grub at Fitger's.
I rocked my Salsa Selma single speed.  Such a fun, fast bike.  Some of the hills would have been nice to have gears, but overall it was great.

Saturday I worked but got out for a 1.5 hour spin.

Sunday I was off.  Got out with Matt R. and Kyle at 6.  About 2+ hours in we departed ways.  I continued on west and south on both pavement and gravel.  I was riding the All City Nature Boy.  I plan on using it for the Dirty Benjamin.  It's been awhile since I've ridden that bike, so nice.  I did switch the back to a 16 from a 17.  Not too sure on that yet...may be a bit steep.
Ended with 6+ hours and 103 miles.

The amazing thing about all this riding is that the weather was perfect for it.  Rain or wind could have made this past week miserable.

No big plans for this week.  Trying to decide if I want to do the Tuesday Night Road Ride.  Leaning towards not, as I should really recover this week.  Some trail work needs to be done and we are starting our Anniversary Sale on Thursday...busy, busy!  Oh and we are celebrating Brinna's Birthday at Airmaxx (trampoline park) on Thursday.

Let summer begin!

Later.
