#fail

The plan for this morning was to get up early and be on the bike by 5:45.  Early enough to get a few hours in before work.
I snoozed a few times as I listened to the wind whipping outside.  Of course thoughts of abandoning the ride entered my mind.  But alas I got up and started downstairs.  I stopped at the window on the upper landing.  The trees were whipping all over, puddles were in the streets, and rain was hitting the window.
Not sure how long I pondered riding or not but eventually I pulled the sweats off and climbed back into bed.
Mentally I was prepared for dark and wind but not rain.  Defeated...fail.

At least when I actually got up this morning the wind was still blowing, although not as hard, and the rain is still falling.  Feeling better about my decision!
So maybe I'll do the ride tomorrow and run this eventing after work.

A bonus is I got to spend some fun time with Harper and Avery...so not a bad morning after all.
