Holy Crap! I can't get over how awesome the snowmobile trails are riding right now. Word has it the xc ski trails are in some of the best shape as well. It would appear the rain has helped!
Last night Jimmy, Matt, and I left my house at 6:30. We did the same route I did on Friday. We were looking for 3 or so hours, which I thought would be perfect since the last time I did this route it took me a bit more than 3. But the trails were so nice that we ended with 2.5 hours! So a bit less than I wanted but who cares?! We had so much fun. I felt like riding all night. I need to get back out on the trails ASAP.
But not this morning. Pulling on the xc boots this morning for a little ski action. Wednesday and Thursday will be bike days of 3 hours or more. Not sure on Friday and Saturday. I work both days 10-6. The plan is to stack up the hours this week and coast next week into the Tuscobia. Can't believe it's so close already!
I was hoping we would get 2-3" out of this coming system but appears to be staying south of us. Park Falls, WI area (Tuscobia home base) looks to be in the path of some snow however! I'll take it.
