Ever since Jay Petervary announced his race, JayP's Backyard Fat Pursuit, in Idaho, I dreamed of doing it. However the cost of doing the race, the expense of getting and staying out there, plus time off work made it just that...a dream.
But then the Arrowhead 135 happened. My quitting rekindled my dream of heading west but the same road blocks popped up, once again pushing it off to the side.
Without getting into the nitty gritty of it all I'm heading West at the end of this month to do the race! A huge thanks goes out to Salsa Cycles for their help in making this happen. Still can't believe I'm going. But also thanks to Jay, Jen, and the staff/friends at work.
February is already a short month, toss in a bunch of events and poof, it's going to fly by. I head to Madison this coming Monday for the Winter Show (skis, clothing, etc). Frost Bike at QBP is happening too. Plus some work events. I need to sneak in some rides here and there as well. Then the long, boring drive out west.
All worth it.
Happy Weekend.
