Well, I lied. I didn't end up with a zero for ride time but rather a two something. Before we left Saturday morning I hit up the North Loop and again Sunday afternoon upon our return from the wedding. It's funny how the legs feel after an extended period time off the bike. It took awhile before they actually felt "fresh".
I'd like to say this week will be different but it's already looking to be pretty chaotic with another wedding this weekend. Because of high winds the goal is to get out on the mountain bike tonight but I'm on kid duty. Which means picking up and dropping off from their events, swimming and gymnastics. Hopefully Jen finishes up early and can tag in and finish the job.
The rest of the week is in a wait and see pattern. I'm trying not to plan anything out in my head. Thus avoiding disappointment.
Saturday morning before I rode I was scrolling through Facebook. I saw the Landrun 100 was open for registration. I signed up last year but was unable to go due to a family Spring Break trip. This race fills up quickly so I didn't have time to figure out if I could go or not...signed up again. But once again it's on Spring Break time. Maybe I can convince the family Oklahoma is a good vacationing spot?!
Let's go Monday.
