With the rain, sickness, and kid stuff last week was a blur. I'm super stoked I was able to piece together 18 hours of riding. Not sure how I did that! Friday through Sunday I did get some solid rides in.
Friday I promised Harper I'd pick her up from school. Her class got to wear pajamas to school but she was nervous about riding the bus home in her pajamas. Already at 5 and she's worried what other think! I had off from work since I had planned on traveling to Iowa that day. Thus I headed out for a ride on the Cutthroat. I was having a blast and wishing I didn't have to head back home to get Harper. About 2 minutes after finishing it started to rain...thanks Harper!
Saturday I hung out with the kids in the morning, made pancakes, and let Jen sleep as much as possible as she wasn't feeling the best all weekend. After a Target run with the kids I headed out for a ride, again on the Cutthroat.
I know a picture! This is of my favorite bridges in the area. It's closed to cars but still passable on bike. It was a true bluebird day...not a cloud in the sky. Great Fall Day! I ended with 110 miles, mostly "soft" gravel.
Sunday I headed out on the Evergreen much earlier, but not too early that I needed lights. The wind flipped directions overnight so I headed North. I ran into the Soo Line ATV Trail, took that West over HWY 10 and made my way back home. I needed to be home in time to take the girls to open gym at their gymnastics studio. And Poof, the weekend was over.
This weekend is the Dirt Bag. It's usually a low key event but it's starting to sound like several fast dudes will be showing up! I suppose I should cut back on riding this week but don't plan on it. If it works to ride I hope to. The weather is my favorite and usually short lived so get it while I can!
