Ok...no race report this week. But next week...I hope! I have fully unpacked, washed, and put away all my gear from the Arrowhead so I have been productive somewhat. I did get out on the bike for a bit over 2 hours yesterday. Felt surprisingly good! It was my first time using the 45Nrth Wrathchild studded tires. Whoa! So much traction. I rode on the Mississippi River with lots of glare ice. No slipping! A hill I climb I usually have to sit otherwise I would slip out. Not with these babies! Studded tires are pretty much required now. So much warm up and cool down has happened that there are spots of ice everywhere. Tonight and tomorrow we are slotted for some snow. Just enough to hide the ice! Studded tire season!
I'm on the fence if I even want snow anymore. The season for selling at the shop has come and gone. February I tend to start yearning for warmer, longer days. I'm sure if we get a dumping at some point I'd be pretty stoked to go play in it however.
