Finally, Back on the Evergreen.

I haven't been on my Seven Evergreen since I stripped it down and shipped it back to Seven last fall.  I've been riding my Salsa Cutthroat a lot, thus I had to get used to the position again.  I'm still getting use to it.  I got a sore neck and back yesterday.  I do have one adjustment to make but mostly just saddle time will elevate most issues.  I did put on some new handlebars.  I am not stoked on them yet.  Maybe that will change.

The wind yesterday was mostly directly out of the North.  I ended up going a bit further East than anticipated, trying to avoid pavement and towns.  I've said it before but the gravel in Benton County kicks my butt.  It's both soft and chunky.  Add in a stiff wind and I was crawling.  As I neared the boarder of Benton and Morrison County the gravel hardened up and the speed increased.   The speed dramatically increased when I made the turn for home.  Tailwind!  Almost 7.5 hours and 127 miles.

It was also Avery's last track meet of the season in Cold Spring so we headed over there.  I shouldn't have worn shorts.  It was cold!  Brinna too had a meet in Brainerd and another tonight in Kimball.  Thank God Harper is too young to be in track!

Yard work, Mother's Day, and riding are on tap this weekend.  I plan on heading out tomorrow morning relatively early.  Currently the temp is predicted to be 36 degrees!  Brrr.

Happy Weekend.
