Zooming Through the Weekend.

Both Saturday and Sunday were morning rides.  Both on the Evergreen and both 4.5ish hours and 80ish miles.  The wind was kind of enough to be out of different directions allowing me different routes.

Saturday was and E/NE wind.  I basically rode east for and hour then north for an hour, putting me somewhere in Mille Lacs County nears Milaca.  Prior to the ride I adjusted my saddle oh so slightly but that's all that was needed!  The wind had picked up some making the return a breeze.  After the ride we tackled and finished spring yard work.  I was covered in dust, sweat, grime, and dried grass at the end.  Plus shot...but the yard looks good!

Sunday I was out riding before 6:30 to ensure I was home in time for Mother's Day brunch in Little Falls.  I did a good portion of the Dirt Bag course.  I also raised my brake hoods a tad, making a big difference.  These new handlebars aren't so bad anymore!  The normally fast and hard gravel of the Dirt Bag course is starting to be consumed with rumble strips.  It appears Wright County has not done any maintenance on their roads yet.

Not sure how it happened but the busy week of work, kid events, etc I managed 20 hours of riding for  330 miles.

Bike to Work Week starts today.  St. Cloud has an event this morning, 7-9, at Lake George.  I'll be down there to wrench on bikes if needed.  Stoked to see the city getting behind such events.  The rest of the week will be used to get ready for our Anniversary Sale at the shop, 18-20th.  12 years!  Plus gymnastics, choir concert, track, a retirement party at our house, blah, blah!  Two more weeks till school is out!
