Thursday Chill

Another chilly start to my ride yesterday, same as the previous Thursday.  Although this Thursday had much less wind and warmed up later in the day.  So all in all a great day for a ride.  Even when I left on my Mukluk I wasn't sure of my route.  I knew I'd start going down county road 8 but beyond that I wasn't sure.  As I neared the end I decided I didn't want to do the Dirt Bag route yet again so I made my way to Deerwood and Dellwood roads.  Yes, they are part of the Dirt Bag but at the end and not always used.  From there I skirted the city limits of Kimball and Powder Ridge.

Mid ride.

I continued going west on gravel roads another 45-60 minutes before turning north and having a tailwind!  I eventually jumped onto some snowmobile trails. They appeared to have been groomed the previous night and had not been touched since.  My tires were at a high psi but the snow held.  It was smoother and faster than the gravel!  The section ended and I was back on the roads till I neared Rockville.  There I jumped on a familiar set of snowmobile trails (not a good but still great) that would take me into St. Augusta.

That was a great ride!  I felt good and had fun.  I'm ready for warmer days!

Ride details.

The rest of the week/weekend will be a ride when I can type deal.  Some are going to the state gymnastics meet, some are going to the MOA, there's a birthday party tossed in so yeah...when it works!

Happy Weekend.
